Albert J. Barr, Chairman & CEO ajbarr@carma.com
Albert has more than 40 years of experience in public relations, journalism and research. He has worked for newspapers, corporations, trade associations, and consulting firms. Albert founded CARMA in 1984 after foreseeing the value of media content analysis as a strategic and tactical measurement tool. Since that time, CARMA has been a pioneer, leading the industry for 25 years. As the first to commercialize the industry, Albert has remained true to his vision that CARMA International should be devoted to the business of cutting-edge global media analysis.

Alison Tedor, Senior Vice President atedor@carma.com Alison joined CARMA International in 1995 as a Media Analyst and now serves as Senior Vice President. During her term at CARMA, Alison has developed and managed media analysis programs for an extensive list of clients, including IBM, Nokia, SC Johnson, Nike, Sprint Nextel, and Marriott. She leads the team responsible for technology development at CARMA and has directed the design and rollout of many of the company’s proprietary software systems. Alison has also been integral in developing new products and services offered by CARMA and in coordinating operations within CARMA’s global network of offices. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, with a major in International History.

Sonia LaFountain, Chief Operating Officer slafountain@carma.com Sonia joined CARMA in 2007, with major responsibility for the launch of CARMA NewsAccess, an automated web-based media measurement tool developed and released by CARMA International in 2008. In addition to her product management role, she manages major media analysis accounts in the pharmaceutical, energy, consumer products, financial, technology, and media industries. Sonia holds an Executive MBA from Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business and an MA in International Policy and Foreign Language Studies from Monterey Institute of International Studies. Before joining CARMA, Sonia spent more than ten years with LexisNexis and other Reed Elsevier companies where she gained expertise in the software, information, and search industry. This included her most recent role at LexisNexis as Senior Strategic Alliance Manager for News & Business. She is a member of PRSA, OnLine News Association, and the Software and the Information Industry Association.

Chris Scully, Vice President, Research cscully@carma.com Since joining CARMA International in 2001, Chris has specialized in researching and analyzing media coverage of the energy, retail, public policy, and information technology sectors. In addition, he has co-authored several of CARMA’s independent studies, including its report on the impact of the September 11th terrorist attacks on media coverage of the nation’s leading corporations and its report on consumer-generated media coverage of leading U.S. retailers. Before joining CARMA, Chris worked as a writer and editor in the White House, where he drafted and edited President Bill Clinton's correspondence on education, labor, and transportation issues. He also served as a legislative assistant at the law firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering and worked on the staff of Congressman Barney Frank. Mr. Scully holds a BA in political science from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.

Kate Bowen, Director kbowen@carma.com Kate joined CARMA International in 2004 as a Junior Analyst and has served as a Director since August 2008. During her time thus far at CARMA, Kate has developed a significant knowledge base of media measurement best practices and solutions. She manages projects with clients across a broad array of industries, including pharmaceutical/biotechnology, financial, energy, and consumer products. She is also the head of the software training program at CARMA International. Kate holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communications, Law, Economics, Government) and Public Communications from the American University in Washington, D.C. |

Anders Klein, Senior Analyst aklein@carma.com Anders joined CARMA in 2001 and now leads media content analysis programs for clients in diverse business areas, including automotive (Toyota Motor Corp.), pharmaceutical, consumer products, financial, as well as non-profit organizations and advocacy groups. Prior to joining CARMA, Anders was a research manager at a commercial real estate information firm. Anders holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan. |

Chris Splet, Director csplet@carma.com Chris has been an employee of CARMA since September of 2002, and a Director at CARMA since September of 2007. Over the years he has spent at CARMA, Chris has developed a significant knowledge base of media measurement best practices and solutions. Chris has worked extensively with clients across a broad array of industries, including agriculture, pharmaceutical, hi-tech, energy and engineering firms. Born and raised outside of San Francisco, California, Chris moved to Washington, DC to attend the George Washington University where he obtained a BA in International Affairs.
